The Bitwarden password manager offers a selection of plans to individuals and businesses. Learn how to open a free individual account or start a free business trial. |
In this article, we'll define each Bitwarden subscription plan to help you along your password management and secure data storage journey.
This article reflects current Bitwarden plans, updated on September 06, 2020. Users who created accounts prior to that date can learn how to opt-in to the updates here.
Bitwarden For You
Bitwarden For You plans are designed to give you or your family all the tools needed to securely manage data:
Free Individual
We believe everyone should have access to password security tools. The core features of Bitwarden are 100% free, including unlimited storage of Logins, Notes, Cards, and Identities, access to Bitwarden on any device, a Secure Password Generator, and more. Signup for free.
Premium Individual
Upgrade your individual Bitwarden account to unlock premium password security and management features, including advanced 2FA options, the Bitwarden Authenticator (TOTP), encrypted file attachments, emergency access and more. Upgrade now.
{% callout info %} Premium does not include secure data sharing. In order to access sharing features, you will need a subscription to an Organization (Free, Families, Teams, or Enterprise). Premium Individual subscriptions are billed annually.
Families Organizations
Start a Families Organization to share private data between you and 5 friends or family members. Families Organizations include all premium features for all 6 users and unlimited secure data sharing within the Families Organization.
Families Organizations subscriptions are billed annually.

Bitwarden For Your Business
Bitwarden For Your Business offers a suite of plans designed to meet the storage and sharing needs of any organization:
Free Organizations
Start a Free Organization to store and securely share data with one other user. Free Organizations offer both users all the core features of Bitwarden and secure data sharing in up to two Collections.
Teams Organizations
Start a Teams Organization to securely share data with your coworkers, department, or entire company. Teams Organizations include all premium features for all enrolled users, unlimited secure data sharing within the Teams Organization, and a suite of operational tools like Event Logging and an API for Organization Management.
Unlike Families Organizations and Free Organizations, Teams can have an unlimited number of users (priced Per User). Teams Organizations subscriptions can be billed annually or monthly (see Compare the Plans).
Enterprise Organizations
Start an Enterprise Organization to secure your business secrets. Enterprise Organizations include all premium features for for all enrolled users, all operational tools included in Teams Organizations, and enterprise-only tools like SSO Authentication, Enterprise Policy enforcement, and a Self-host option.
Unlike Families Organizations and Free Organizations, Enterprises can have an unlimited number of users (priced Per User). Enterprise Organizations subscriptions can be billed annually or monthly (see Compare the Plans).
